What’s new
A short summary of what has changed in KindTally, written for parents and carers.
KindTally V2 v2.0.0
Released 7 August 2026
V2 is the first full release of KindTally after the private alpha. It focuses on staying signed in, clearer pocket money wording, easier co-parent sharing and much better issue reporting.
- Stay signed in: parents and children now stay signed in on a trusted device until you sign out. Locking the screen, switching apps or refreshing no longer signs anyone out.
- Clearer pocket money wording: weekly pocket money is shown as a visual tracker, so everyone can see it is a motivational goal rather than money held or transferred by KindTally.
- Easier co-parenting: invite a co-parent straight from the family and settings screens, with secure single-use invite links.
- Better issue reporting: tap “Report an issue”, then tap the exact button or card that went wrong. KindTally records the page and control you picked — never what you typed, your PIN or your password.
- Calmer child experience: children only ever see their own chores, rewards and pocket money, with an undo option if a chore is ticked off by mistake.
- Safer admin tools: account deletion is limited to the owner admin, needs a typed confirmation, and keeps the financial records we are legally required to retain.
