ChatGPT
Add KindTally as a custom connector in ChatGPT.
- Open ChatGPT's Connectors settings and enable Developer mode if prompted.
- Click New connector, enter KindTally as the name and paste the MCP server URL above.
- Review the warning, check the confirmation box, then click Create connector.
- Enable the connector from the chat composer and ask ChatGPT to use KindTally.
Claude
Add KindTally as a custom connector in Claude.
- Open Claude's Add custom connector page — the name and URL are pre-filled.
- Review the details and click Add connector.
- Enable the connector from the chat composer and ask Claude to use KindTally.
Claude Code
Connect from your terminal in one command.
Run this command in a terminal, then start Claude Code and run /mcp to confirm KindTally is connected.

Other MCP clients
For assistants that support remote MCP servers.
- Open your assistant's MCP or custom connector settings.
- Create a new remote MCP server connection.
- Name it KindTally and paste the MCP server URL above.
- Complete any sign-in or authorisation prompts.
- Enable the connection and ask the assistant to use KindTally.
Refresh after the app changes
Connected assistants cache the list of tools. After KindTally is updated, refresh the connection to get the latest tools.
- ChatGPT:Open the connector in Plugins, scroll to Information and click Refresh. If the URL changed, delete the connector and re-add it.
- Claude:Open the Connectors page, select KindTally and refresh the tools. If the URL changed, remove the connector and re-add it.
- Claude Code:Start a new Claude Code session to load the latest tools. If the URL changed, run
claude mcp remove kindtallythen run the install command again. - Others:Reopen the MCP server or connector settings, select the KindTally connection and refresh or reload it.
